The seeds of innerShe were planted somewhere on a camel safari in Rajasthan back in 2001.
My then boyfriend (now husband) and I had just finished a pilgrimage across Europe on the Camino de Santiago Compostella and had now found ourselves tracing the steps of Buddhism across India and Nepal. My passion for comparative religion collided with years of spiritual exploration with Spiritualism, mythology, Tantra and indigenous women’s mysteries. The hot sun seemed to melt my inner and outer passions together, formulating them into a desire to support women to own their innate wisdom and compassion.
Fast forward five years to 2006 and I had finished my Holistic Counselling training with Sophia College. I had worked with families whose children were living and dying with cancer, started running courses based around sacred sexuality, the spiritual path of motherhood and women's rites of passage. Then as I powerfully homebirthed my daughter, I opened a deep reverence for the sacredness of women's bodies. My passion for counselling and teaching had arrived.
My darling babies grew, as did the humbling gifts gathered along my path of Motherhood. And in 2008 innershe Counselling opened. Influenced by the wise teachings of Christiane Northrup, Niravi Payne, Alice Dromar, Alexandra Pope, Saida Désilets, Alison Armstrong and many others, innershe counselling is committed to nurturing every woman to trust and live from her reproductive wholeness and feminine wisdom.
My vision is for you is to unlock and trust the depths of your feminine heart. From that place of faith, trust the sacred beauty of your female reproductive body and the wisdom of the women of your world. So that, as a loved-up woman, your radiance and compassion can spread. Creating joyful partnership with men, loving relationships with all children and then well, lets heal the world!
I currently live in leafy Brisbane, Australia, with my darling Peter and our two redheads. I am a qualified counsellor registered with the Australian Counselling Association and I divide my time between my family, innerShe and studying to become an Interfaith minister with The New Seminary.
